Cheanie Lopez-Hall (Kaqchikel Maya)

Cheanie Lopez-Hall (also known as Cheanie Noai) is a Kaqchikel Maya graphic artist, musician, and creative director, driven by the power of creation to witness truth and nurture healing. Born in Guatemala and raised in Fayetteville, AR, she has spent over 15 years organizing with a focus on migrant rights, queer liberation, child advocacy, and climate justice. Through her art and design, Cheanie helps movements and organizations strengthen their visual identity while advocating for the re-indigenization of our relationship to the land and each other, while also combating systems of oppression.

With her son as a guiding light, Cheanie lives on and stewards a 100-acre conservation easement on the ancestral homelands of the Caddo, Osage, and Quapaw peoples—land that her family has cared for over five generations. Her work has been featured in Bitch Magazine, CultureStrike, and Yes! Magazine. Guided by ancestral wisdom and cultural practices, Cheanie remains committed to the universal liberation of both people and the planet.
